MICID Studio is an industrial design studio that provides a breadth of creative services.
We are able to provide the traditional industrial design services of ideation, sketching, 3D modeling, and rendering. In addition to that, we have rapid prototyping capabilities, perfect for making prototypes and custom products. MICID also designs products in house, approaching companies with developed concepts that fit within their existing portfolio.
Omy Limited is a homegoods brand, designed and manufactured in house. A revival the American Craftsman movement, Omy brings new technology and modern trends to a movement that held truth to material, value of simplicity, and emphasis of nature at its core.
The products of Omy are heirloom quality, with their finish and style distinguishing them from any other home decor. Omy sells products directly to consumers and wholesale to business.
If your are interested in buying wholesale, please send your inquiry to [email protected]
Putting play first and function second, Yamsock is an exercise in discursive design. It’s the space for fireside ideas to be developed into a product worth holding. Goofy, funky, freaky, odd, wacky, funny, and introspective ideas are found here.
Ultimately, its an area for the designer to shed their worry of making a product for the consumer, and instead make a product that they love.
MICID provides a breadth of services, not only industrial design. From ideation generation, to prototyping services; we can bring your next innovation to reality.

My name is Patrick McNeel, a designer, an outdoors-man, and a entrepreneur.
I am an Appalachian State University Alum, where I graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Industrial Design. Past jobs and contracts include designing STEM kits for families, marine products as a Senior Product Developer, CAD instructor, and close to a decade of experience as a Stack Tester and Environmental Technician. I have worked with numerous clients, doing a variety of jobs from logo creation, small batch fabrication of custom products, to 3D modeling and renders.
While I currently run this studio solo, I never design alone. I stay active in the design community in order to expose myself to new ideas, methods, and up to date on emerging tech and consumer trends. The value of industrial design, while a relatively new profession, is being used to great effect by titans like Apple, Dyson, and Nike, where the success of their products is largely due to the talent of their industrial design teams.
The goal of MICID Studio is to bring that process to any person or company who wants to pursue progress through innovation, and break the stagnation of long accepted methods.
